The Conservatives will guarantee patients access to a local GP as part of their manifesto.The party's programme will include a pledge that everyone will be able to see a doctor in their area seven days a week, 12 hours a day.
The Mail on Sunday said leader David Cameron hopes the promise will show he can be trusted with the NHS.
In an interview with the Sunday Telegraph, Mr Cameron said he would govern for "everyone in Britain".

He said he would steer away the more "divisive" policies linked with the Thatcher governments of the 1980s, and urged the country to "join together, act decisively and move forward with optimism".
The Mail on Sunday said that the manifesto would include a commitment to lending extra support to troops as well as a promise to offer the public shares in nationalised banks.
Labour is due to unveil its manifesto on Monday, followed by the Conservatives on Tuesday and the Liberal Democrats on Wednesday.
