
A new £380m cruise ship is to be named by ballerina Darcey Bussell ahead of its maiden cruise on Monday.To celebrate Azura's entry into service P&O is planning a spectacular naming ceremony in Southampton which includes a fireworks display.
Carol Marlow of P&O Cruises said: "Azura has three magnificent dance floors, so with dancing a real feature, Darcey was a natural choice."
The new liner is berthed at the Ocean Terminal in the city's Eastern Docks.
The Azura, which can carry more than 3,000 passengers and crew, leaves on its first cruise to the Mediterranean on Monday.
