    Dust from volcano closes airports

All of Scotland's airports have been closed as a plume of volcanic dust drifts across much of northern Europe.Ash from the eruption in Iceland presents a serious risk to aircraft.

Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow airports have been shut and five easyJet flights due to depart from Stansted Airport were cancelled.

Search and rescue helicopters are still able to fly as long as they do not need to rely on instruments. Travellers should contact their airlines.
