Indian cricket suspends IPL chief

India's cricket board has suspended IPL chief Lalit Modi over corruption allegations in the worst scandal to hit the Indian game this century.The head of the Indian Premier League faces the sack when the board (the BBCI) begins a series of meetings on his fate on Monday.

Mr Modi, who is being investigated by tax officials, denies all allegations of wrongdoing made against him.

Some of the world's top cricketers play for the lucrative IPL.
