    Live - Australia v India

LIVE TEXT COMMENTARY (all times BST)To get involved, e-mail tms@bbc.co.uk (with 'For Mark Mitchener' in the subject), useor text us your views on 81111 (UK) or +44 7786200666 (worldwide) with "CRICKET" as the first word. (Not all comments can be used. Messages will be charged at your standard operator rate)

17th over - Aus 167-3New batsman is Cameron White, who honed his T20 six-hitting skills at the batsman's paradise at Taunton when he played for Somerset. He's off the mark with a single, but if I were a betting man I'd say you can expect that South African six-hitting record to go during the last three overs.
16.3 overs - WICKET - Haddin st Dhoni b Yuvraj 8 - Aus 166-3Hussey unleashes a cross-batted pull through long-off for four as Yuvraj returns to the attack - India's two most economical bowlers, Harbhajan and Pathan, have already bowled out. But Yuvi picks up his second wicket when Haddin advances down the track and is smartly stumped by the skipper.
16th over - Aus 161-2Yuvraj off, Zaheer returns but Hussey chips a first-bounce four through mid-wicket, before he brings up the 150 with a quick single. Haddin rotates the strike, Hussey dabs a well-run two before straight-driving a single. Zaheer also strays with a wide, while Australia move to within one six of the T20 international record as Haddin powers the 16th maximum of the innings over cow corner.
15th over - Aus 145-2New batsman Brad Haddin will "look to keep the momentum going," notes Aggers on TMS. "Do you mean momentum, or carnage?" asks Michael Vaughan, and I'm inclined to agree with the ex-England skipper. Australia have hit 15 sixes and only three fours so far. Harbhajan back into the attack, he'll be happy to restrict Hussey and Haddin to three singles from the over - but that's Bhajji's fourth over and he takes his sunhat by finishing with figures of 0-15 from four overs.
14th over - WICKET - Warner c Dhoni b Yuvraj 72 - Aus 142-2Yuvraj Singh, once dubbed a "pie-thrower" by Kevin Pietersen, comes on with his part-time left-arm spin... and Warner hoists his first ball for a straight six into the 3 W's stand again! After a swing-and-a-miss, this time Warner takes aim at the Party Stand at wide long-on, and that's six more. But after the Aussies plunder a couple more singles, Warner gets a nick to Dhoni behind the timbers and departs, having scored 72 from 43 balls.
From Stefan from Southampton, via text: "I know Australia are dominating the proceedings here but India's bowling has been very disciplined with no extras yet"
13th over - Aus 128-1Make that 12 sixes so far... Warner blasts Pathan for six, that's another one disappearing over the Greenidge & Haynes Stand and out of the ground. (Having sat in the upper tier of that stand, I can assure you that's a huge hit). Hussey responds by lifting one over the long-off fence, India are taking an absolute mauling here. Hussey and Warner push a couple more singles, that's Pathan's spell finished and Dhoni must be struggling to know who to bowl.
12th over - Aus 113-1Hussey and Warner exchange singles against Nehra, then Hussey joins in the six-hitting fun by powering one from shoulder height over mid-wicket. Chappelli on TMS is marvelling at how he can see all the way down to the other end of the ground after having laser eye surgery. "The only regret I have in my cricket career is that I didn't start a little bit later - as I could have faced you then," he mischievously tells Aggers on TMS. Apparently the most sixes in a T20 international innings is 17, by South Africa against England last year - we've had 11 so far.
Former Australia captain Ian Chappell on TMS: "I was in the same hotel as the Afghanistan team in St Lucia, and I was really impressed by them - they weren't here for a Caribbean holiday, they were here to compete and did really well considering they've come up from the fifth division of world cricket. The bulk of those guys learnt their cricket in refugee camps, and apparently some of them were beaten by their fathers because they played too much cricket rather than trying to go out and earn a buck"
11th over - Aus 105-1New batsman David Hussey steers his first ball for a single to long-on.
10.5 overs - WICKET - Watson b Pathan 54 - Aus 104-1Warner and Watson smear Pathan for a couple of singles, but the Rajasthan Royals man then finds a bit of turn as Warner is deceived in the flight but manages to squeeze a single to bring up his fifty. Watson brings up his own fifty with another huge six over mid-wicket, but then he departs as he slogs and misses and is bowled, having smashed 54 from 32 balls.
10th over - Aus 95-0Jadeja is recalled to the attack, which will have the Aussies licking their lips. Warner smashes a straight six, hoists another maximum over long-on and then lifts an even bigger six over the sightscreen and into the Worrell, Weekes and Walcott Stand. (Jadeja's last six balls have all been hit for six - an unwanted record). Incredible scenes. The left-armer somehow manages a couple of dot balls before Warrner flashes at one outside off stump and picks up a single past the keeper. Jadeja's two overs have cost 38, including those six sixes.
9th over - Aus 76-0Pathan again, Watson scampers a quick single to take him to 28 from 23 balls. Watson, on 44 from 27, pulls to deep mid-wicket for a single. A single and a two are added and by the Aussie pair's high standards, that's a quiet over from them - only five from it.
8th over - Aus 71-0Warner cleanly strikes Zaheer just past long-on for four, and not to be outdone his partner Watson lifts his fifth six of the innings into the Garfield Sobers Pavilion at wide long-on. Watson is then impeded when Warner straight-drives and non-striker Watson can't get out of the way. Ouch. That's gotta hurt. But how can India stem the flow of runs?
From Ben, New Cross, TMS inbox: "Afternoon Mark, looking forward to this game, should be a good one all round I think. With regards to the bar-room brawl, that's a tricky one. Symonds has the height and reach advantage but Jesse has the edge in bulk. I'll go for Symonds to take it with a late stoppage"
7th over - Aus 58-0New bowler, same action as Yusuf Pathan replaces fellow off-spinner Harbhajan. Business as usual from the Aussie openers , who continue to play positively by pushing the singles, although Watson swings and misses at the last ball of the over.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan on TMS: "I think we're going to see a big total here - Australia have wickets in hand and plenty of batting to come"
From noops01 on 606:"India have zero chance of winning this game, but I'm guessing it will be blamed on the Indian team and the Aussies will get no respect for playing well"
6th over - Aus 53-0With Jadeja having been literally hit out of the attack, India turn to the left-arm seam of Zaheer Khan - while if you were following Michael Vaughan's plans to head out on a jet-ski yesterday evening, the former England skipper (now a TMS summariser) was let down as his friend Dr Cool failed to show. Single from Watson, then Warner pushes a quick single and picks up a second on the overthrow. The young left-hander hoists his first six of the innings before clipping the last ball off his legs for a single. Now India can put the field back... and a press release from the ICC reveals that off-spinner Javeria Wadood from the Pakistan women's team has been reported for having a suspected illegal bowling action.
5th over - Aus 43-0T20 specialist Warner is suddenly the support act here as he pushes Harbhajan for a single and Watson fiercely clubs another four. Three well-judged singles and the Aussies are off to a flier. (And apologies if the updates are seemingly a bit slower than usual - we're experiencing huge amounts of traffic to the BBC site because of the election).
4th over - Aus 35-0Spin from both ends as slow left-armer Jadeja enters the attack, Warner stabs a single before Watson launches a six over the Greenidge & Haynes Stand at mid-wicket and out of the ground! An absolutely enormous hit! He aims another six, bit flatter this time, and that's six more. Watson's down on one knee to the last ball of the over and hooks it over long leg for his third successive six! 19 from Jadeja's over. (And if your page is showing "play due to start at 1430 BST" at the top, please manually refresh and it'll vanish).
3rd over - Aus 16-0Watson sweeps Harbhajan just over the head and out of the grasp of Ravindra Jadeja at short fine leg and they run two. A single brings Warner on strike against the spinner for the first time, he rotates the strike with a single of his own.
From Andy in Tooting, TMS inbox: "Mark, any idea who would win in a fight between Jack Bauer and Chuck Norris?"
Never mind that, from a cricketing point of view, who would win a bar brawl between Andrew Symonds and Jesse Ryder?
2nd over - Aus 12-0Left-arm seamer Ashish Nehra to share the new ball against leftie T20 specialist Warner, who crashes his first ball through point for four in characteristic fashion before pushing a quick single. Watson swishes and misses, then Nehra drops one short and Watson firmly jabs him for six over long-on ("like a man felling a tree", notes Jonathan Agnew on TMS). A good way to get off the mark - he then steers a single to third man.
1st over - Aus 0-0With his two permitted boundary fielders at deep mid-wicket and long-on, Harbhajan slips the first ball past right-hander Watson's outside edge. But he can't get the wily spinner away, and "The Turbanator" completes an excellent maiden over to begin proceedings.
1428: While Australia have a pace-dominated attack, India have handed the new ball to off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, he will try to stifle the attacking threat posed by David Warner and Shane Watson. Here we go.
1423: Vangelis's marvellous "1492: Conquest of Paradise" entrance music precedes the two anthems, played by a Caribbean steel band. The Kensington Oval is still filling up, but you can expect it to be packed by the time West Indies face off against Sri Lanka later this afternoon.
From Chuck Norris Beard on 606:"I'd fancy the Indians to be very good chasers with the experience and quality in their line up. Aussies will have to bat and bowl well to overcome them"
1415: The Test Match Special crew are up and running - while we also want to hear your views on the cricket today. You can email tms@bbc.co.uk (with "For Mark Mitchener" in the subject line), useor text 81111 (in the UK) or +44 7786200666 (worldwide). Really important today - if you're texting, you really must put "CRICKET" as the first word of your message as we share the inbox with the Formula 1 live text pit crew, and you don't want your words of wisdom about Duckworth-Lewis to be swamped in lots of chat about double diffusers...
1408: Here are the full teams:
Australia: David Warner, Shane Watson, Michael Clarke (capt), David Hussey, Cameron White, Mike Hussey, Brad Haddin (wk), Steve Smith, Mitchell Johnson, Shaun Tait, Dirk Nannes.
India: Murali Vijay, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Dhoni (capt & wk), Yusuf Pathan, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra.
1402: Toss news: India have won the toss and elected to field. They make three changes with the fit-again Gautam Gambhir replacing Dinesh Karthik at the top of the order, batsman Rohit Sharma preferred to spinner Piyush Chawla and seamer Zaheer Khan in for Praveen Kumar. Meanwhile, Australia make one change, with Mitchell Johnson replacing Ryan Harris in the seam bowling department.
1357: We're also going to try to keep half an eye on- today's games are Australia v South Africa, followed by holders England taking on hosts West Indies. If you're a fan of the women's game, you'll be pleased to hear thatformer England captain Rachael Heyhoe-Flint has been named as one of the first two female directors of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB),whose board has expanded from 12 to 14 members.
1350: Afternoon, everyone. Whilethe UK electionlooks like it may need to be settled byDuckworth-Lewis,I'm aware that most of you who've found your way here to our live text coverage have probably done so as a form of escapism from the world of politics. So I can assure you we're going to be concentrating firmly on the ICC World Twenty20 here, as we've got two cracking games in prospect - the only Member of Parliament likely to sneak under our radar is veteran all-rounder Sanath Jayasuriya, whorecently won a seat in Sri Lanka's parliament.
First up for us today is Australia v India (1430 BST), always a pretty feisty contest, before hosts West Indies meet Sri Lanka (1830 BST) in what is sure to be a brilliant atmosphere at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.
