One of the killers of British student Meredith Kercher has made another appeal against his conviction.Rudy Guede, from Ivory Coast, initially appealed in December but a court upheld the original conviction, reducing his sentence from 30 to 16 years in prison.
Miss Kercher, 21, a Leeds University student from Surrey, was found with her throat slit in Perugia, Italy, in 2007.
Guede's lawyer said his client admitted being in the house at the time of the murder but denied killing Miss Kercher.
Nicodemo Gentile said Guede wanted to demonstrate his innocence before Italy's highest court.
Guede was found guilty in a fast-track trial of the sexual assault and murder of Miss Kercher, who was from Coulsdon, at her shared house in Italy.
A later trial convicted Miss Kercher's house-mate, American student Amanda Knox, and Knox's former boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, of murder. Knox was jailed for 26 years, and Sollecito for 25 years.
Mr Gentile said no date for the appeal before the Court of Cassation had been set.
Guede has admitted being in the house on the night of the murder but denied killing Miss Kercher.
