Superstar footballer David Beckham flew to Afghanistan on an RAF C-17 aircraft - though he is undoubtedly used to a bit more on board luxury.
Beckham started his day with breakfast in the cookhouse before taking part in a Q&A session with troops and visiting the camp's hospital. He also got up close and personal with some of the ammunition.
The 35-year-old former England captain spent a good part of the day at Camp Bastion in Helmand having his picture taken and signing autographs.
