
Three people have died and five have been badly injured in a crash involving a school bus on the A66 near Keswick in Cumbria, the ambulance service said.Thirty others are said to have received less serious injuries when the coach carrying children aged 11 to 18 from Keswick School crashed.
It is believed to have overturned. A lorry and other vehicles are thought to have been involved in the crash.
It is not yet known whether any of those killed were schoolchildren.
Two helicopters have been sent to the scene of the crash, which happened shortly before 1600 BST.
The road has been closed at the Thornthwaite turn for the A66.
Motorists are advised to use the A591 via the Castle Inn.
