The cargo handling area of Boston's Logan airport has been evacuated after the discovery of two suspect packages.
Agents in protective suits were investigating two duffel bags addressed to Nigeria with bomb-sniffing dogs and X-rays, an airport spokesman said.
No passenger flights from the airport were affected by the alert.
The scare comes weeks after two parcel bombs being sent via air freight to the US were intercepted in Dubai and the UK and defused.
