A man has died and two other people were injured in a car crash in Fife.
The front seat passenger was fatally injured when the Honda car left the road near Anstruther at about 0130 GMT.
Fife Constabulary said the two other people in the car were injured in the accident at the Spalefield crossroads on the B9131.
The road was closed to allow an investigation. Police said it was not known if the weather was a factor in the crash.
They urged drivers to take care in hazardous conditions.
