    Bodies recovered from Sonae site

    11 December 2010 Last updated at 07:46 ET The bodies of two men who died in an industrial accident at the Sonae chipboard factory at Kirkby on Merseyside have been recovered.

    It is understood Thomas Elmer, 27, and James Bibby, 24, both from Waterfoot, Lancashire, died when they were dragged into a giant silo on Tuesday.

    Both men worked for a company which maintains machinery at the factory.

    A joint investigation into the incident by Merseyside Police and the Health and Safety Executive is under way.

    The plant has faced four previous health and safety inquiries in the past decade, amassing £132,000 in fines.
