A 12-year-old boy is in a serious condition after a collision moments after he got off a bus.
The boy suffered serious head injuries in the incident which happened in Trellewelyn Road, Rhyl, Denbighshire, just after 1600 GMT on Friday.
North Wales Police say the child had alighted from a bus immediately before the incident.
They are appealing for witnesses especially to the people in a vehicle travelling directly behind the bus.
The boy was being treated at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan before being transferred to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool.
His condition was initially described as critical but doctors now describe it a serious but stable.
