The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has appealed for witnesses to the shooting of a Huddersfield man by a police officer.
Alistair Bell, 42, was shot dead by a firearms officer in Hill Lane, Kirkheaton, early on Tuesday following a night-long stand-off.
Officers went to his house to arrest him about alleged threatening behaviour when he opened fire.
One policeman was hit by a bullet and sustained bruising to his back.
It has since emerged that the 29-year-old officer with West Yorkshire Police was saved from serious injury by his body armour.
Mr Bell died after the officer fired a Heckler and Koch G36 carbine weapon. A 9mm self-loading pistol was recovered from the house after the incident.
The IPCC started an investigation into the incident after it was referred to them by West Yorkshire Police.
As it released the first picture of Alistair Bell on Friday, the IPCC said they were "appealing for witnesses after a man died in a police shooting incident in Kirkheaton.
"Anybody with an information about this incident, and in particular, anybody who may have filmed or taken photographs of the unfolding incident, is asked to contact the IPCC on 0800 096 9076 or email kirkheaton.investigation@ipcc.gsi.gov.uk."
