    Man on murder charge after death

    2 January 2011 Last updated at 04:50 ET A man has been charged with murder following the death of another man on New Year's Day.

    Strathclyde Police said a 33-year-old man suffered fatal injuries in a disturbance in Cheviot Head, Irvine, Ayrshire.

    Officers said a 27-year-old man had been arrested and charged with murder.

    He is expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday.
