A man is being treated for severe smoke inhalation following a kitchen fire near Swansea.
Mid and West Wales Fire Service were called to Robert Davies Court, Pontarddulais, at about 1420 GMT on Sunday.
The casualty was given oxygen before being taken to hospital.
A fire service spokesperson said crews used breathing apparatus while tackling the blaze. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
