A 61-year-old man has been charged with murdering his wife at their home in a village in Northamptonshire.
Colin Adelard, 61, is accused of attacking his wife Wendy, 59, in Chase Park Road, Yardley Hastings, early on Friday morning.
Mrs Adelard was taken to hospital, where she died.
A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said Mr Adelard was due to appear before Northampton Magistrates' Court on Monday charged with murder.
