A major search and rescue operation is taking place for the occupants of a boat which has sunk off Plymouth.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the alarm was raised just before 1830 GMT when the boat went down in Plymouth Sound.
The rescue is being coordinated by Brixham Coastguard and involves a search and rescue helicopter, RNLI lifeboats and police.
Three people have been rescued but at least one is unaccounted for.
A police spokesman told BBC News it is not clear exactly how many people were on board the motor launch when it went down.
The large launch is classed as a Yarmouth Navigator, believed to be based locally at Plymouth Yacht Haven in Turnchapel.
