Blizzards sweeping across northern parts of Scotland show no signs of relenting, with forecasters predicting more snow fall and gale force winds.
The north west of the country was covered in a blanket of heavy snow on Saturday, with freezing temperatures causing disruption on transport routes.
Severe weather warnings are in place for the Highlands, Western Isles, Grampian and Central, Tayside and Fife.
Transport Scotland said it was monitoring the situation on the roads.
Forecasters said winds of up to 60mph were expected in the west Highlands, as well as further snow - the worst of which will be around the Inverness and Aviemore areas.
On Saturday, Northern Constabulary said many routes were affected by snow including the A9 south of Aviemore to Drummochter, the A87 Invergarry road and the A82 in Glencoe.
