At an altitude of 5000 feet, Chennai Super Kings will have a mountain to climb at the scenic Dharamsala Cricket Stadium on Sunday when they take on the Kings XI Punjab in their last league match, with just a slim hope of making the semi-finals.
Chennai have 12 points from 13 matches and are fifth in the standings. Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Co. will have to win and win big while hoping for positive results from other matches to enter the next round. But it is easier said than done. Punjab might be the bottom-placed team in the league, with just four wins to the credit, but they will leave no stone unturned to dash Chennai's hopes and sign off on a high at what is their second home.
For Chennai, coming to Dharamsala from the sweltering heat of their base city should be a pleasant change. They lost to Delhi in their last match owing to a stunning batting collapse and the likes of Matthew Hayden, Suresh Raina, Michael Hussey and Dhoni will have to click in unison.
