New Delhi, May 11 (IANS) The Indian cricket board Tuesday appointed Bharat Patel, former chairman of Proctor and Gamble, as advisor to interim Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Chirayu Amin.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary N. Srinivisan said in a statement Tuesday: 'Mr. Bharat Patel, former chairman of Proctor and Gamble, is being appointed as the honorary advisor to the interim chairman of IPL, Mr. Chirayu Amin.'
'Mr. Bharat Patel was associated in setting up of Indian Premier League in 2008 in an advisory capacity to the then chairman.'
Amin took over from Lalit Modi, who has been suspended on charges of financial irregularities and faces a charge-sheet.
