Bridgetown (Barbados), May 17 (PTI) Australian wicket-keeper Brad Haddin has been fined 10 per cent of his match fee for showing dissent during his side''s seven-wicket defeat against England in the final of the Twenty20 World Cup at Kensington Oval here. Haddin was charged with a Level 1 offence under article 2.1.
3 of the ICC Code of Conduct after he showed dissent at the umpire''s during his dismissal. Haddin was caught down the legside by England wicket-keeper Craig Kieswetter off Ryan Sidebottom for just one.
But he seemed dissatisfied with the decision as he pointed to his thigh after being given out by West Indian umpire Billy Doctrove. The right-hander later pleaded guilty to the charge which forced ICC match referee Ranjan Madugalle to impose the fine.
The charge was brought by on-field umpires Billy Doctrove and Aleem Dar as well as third umpire Billy Bowden and fourth official Rudi Koertzen.
