Range Hills School bagged the U-12 title by defeating SNBP 1-0 in the final of the All-India Aga Khan Hockey Tournament, being held at the Major Dhyanchand Stadium in Pimpri, on Wednesday.
Vinayak Varpe scored the only goal of the match in the tenth minute and gave his team victory. SNBP fought hard but could not get back into the game.
In the under-14 category, SNBP routed GS Moze 7-0 and made their way into the finals. Rishabh Avhadh 2' 15', Sachin Lokshetty 3', Azar Chaudhari 8', Sarfaraz Shaikh 13',14'and Zaid Shaikh 19' all scored their goals in the first half for the winners. In the under-16 category, NSB will meet SNBP in the final after registering wins against their respective opponents in the semis. NSB defeated Jyoti English School 5-0 with Shantanu Gade 2', Malhar Ghume 5', 17', Siddharth Paigude 15', 20'scoring for the winners. SNBP defeated Rambhau Moze by the same margin with Sachin Lakshetty 5', Venkatesh Reddy 7', 12', Rizvaj Chaudhari 8, Mahendra Chaudhari 10' scoring for the winning team.
