    Rally held in Mumbai to demand politics free sports

    Mumbai, Aug 29 (PTI) Over 400 people, including several sports personalities, today participated in an awareness rally demanding sports cleansed of political manipulation and rid of performance enhancing substance abuse. Sports personalities like chess grandmaster Pravin Thipsay, atheletes Vandana Rao, Reet Abraham and Savio D''Souza, marathoner Sathyabama, swimmer Pallavi Shetty and former Olympian M M Somaiya were among the participants of the rally.

    The group rallied four kilometers in south Mumbai. National convenor of the rally, B V P Rao came out strongly against Suresh Kalmadi for bringing shame to Indian sports with his negative doings.
