    'Pink is the navy blue of India'

    When legendary Vogue editor Diana Vreeland declared "pink is the navy blue of India", she meant people in India wear bright colours. It's something the designers of the formal team uniform for next month's Commonwealth Games in Delhi have taken to heart.

    The uniforms, designed by an Australian corporate wardrobe supplier were unveiled in Melbourne and feature bright yellow, orange, blue and green highlight pieces worn with light grey suiting. For the competition uniforms, designers stuck with the traditional green and gold combination.

    "I think it's going to be pretty flattering and the boys are going to be pretty happy with orange," said swimming champion Leisel Jones, who wore a grey three-quarter sleeve suit jacket that tied at the waist.
