Vasco, Sep 17 (PTI) Sesa Football Academy held their nerves to down Sporting Clube de Goa 7-6 via penalty shootout and enter the quarter-finals league of the Federation Cup here today. The penalty shootout was introduced as both the teams failed to break the deadlock in the extra time after they were locked 2-2 in the regulation time.
Sesa Football Academy converted all their five chances in the shootout through Lezly Fernandes, Vivek Kaira, Pratesh Shirodker, Inacio Colaco and substitute Don Bosco Andrew. For Sporting, substitute Agnelo Colaco, Adil Khan, Freiman Peixoto and Emmanuel Akwuegbu found the target but skipper Joseph Pereira''s shot was saved by goalkeeper Shayan Roy who dived to his right to put the ball out.
Sesa Football Academy now join Chirag United, Churchill Brothers and Viva Kerala in Group ''B'' quarter-finalsleague, which will be played here from September 21. While Group ''A'' and ''D'' matches will be played at Barabati Stadium, Cuttak, Group C league matches would be played at Guru Nanak stadium, Ludhiana.
