    Kenya's Kiprop, Masai pull out of Commonwealth Games

    Enlarge Photo Asbel Kiprop of Kenya celebrates with his country's flag after winning the men's 1,500 metres... Kenya's Olympic 1,500 metres champion Asbel Kiprop and women's world 10,000 champion Linet Masai have pulled out of next month's Commonwealth Games, officials said on Tuesday.

    Gideon Gathimba, the 2008 African Games silver medallist, will replace Kiprop who has an Achilles injury.

    Men's 800 metres world record holder David Rudisha and African men's 5,000 champion Edwin Soi have already pulled put of the Commonwealth Games in India suffering from exhaustion.
