Karnal, Oct 12 (PTI) Harpreet Singh, the shooter who won two gold medals in the Commonwealth Games, is aiming victory in the imminent Asian Games and also eyeing success in the 2012 Olympics. "My ultimate aim is to come first in Asian Games and then the Olympic Games to be held in 2012," said Harpreet, who won gold medals in the 25m centrefire pistol singles and 25m centrefire pistol pairs with Vijay Kumar in the Games.
Harpreet said he would start preparing to achieve his Olympics and Asian Games targets. Saying he had showed interest in sports from a young age, Harpreet called upon the youth of the country to take up sports.
The Haryana shooter gave credit for his success to the Indian Navy, where he is employed. Harpreet has also been invited to a felicitation function on November 1 at Sonipat for Haryana athletes who won medals at the Delhi Commonwealth Games.
