    Singapore Open first-round play suspended due to storm

    The opening round of the $6 million Singapore Open was suspended after just over an hour of play on Thursday due to torrential rain and the threat of lightning.

    Players took to the Serapong and Tanjong tracks at the Sentosa Golf Club at 0730 local (2330 GMT) before conditions deteriorated.
