Inter-university Women''s Tennis tourney from January 17-21

Rajahmundry (AP), Dec 5 (PTI) Over 300 players from 46 universities from eight states will take part in the five-day Inter-university National Women Tennis tournament to be held from January 17 and 21. The tournament will be held at the university premises in Kakinada and players from 46 universities from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh would participate in the event, said Dr A Appa Rao, Vice Chancellor of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University, Kakinada (JNTUK).

JNTUK will be organising the event and four tennis courts constructed at a cost of Rs 15 lakh would be ready by the end of this month, Appa Rao said.
