India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni admits it's just as well he scored some runs in the World Cup final — or he'd have been in trouble.
Dhoni admitted that selecting paceman Shantakumaran Sreesanth to replace injured Ashish Nehra may not have been the best move. Sreesanth was smashed for 52 runs from eight overs by Sri Lanka and didn't take a wicket.
The wicketkeeper-captain then promoted himself up the batting order to assert some control after India's third wicket fell, scoring the winning runs at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium with a massive six that gave his country the World Cup by six wickets.
