Man City owner wants Premier League title next season

London, May 20 (ANI): Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour wants the Premier League title next season, after his club ended their 35-year trophy drought by winning the FA Cup and also qualifying for the Champions League.

Chairman Khaldoon al Mubarak said it is just the start of the things billionaire Sheikh Mansour wants to achieve at Eastlands.

Mubarak revealed part of the master plan to turn City into a super power was to have them in position to win the title by the start of Year Four.

The Abu Dhabi takeover in September 2008 has completely transformed the Blues on and off the pitch, The Sun reports.

Chairman Mubarak said: "Sheikh Mansour always felt it would be Year Four that we would really go for it and I'm delighted that we are in that position. What has happened this season is just one step further into the journey we started three years ago.

"It's an important step forward but our ambitions are much bigger. There are a lot more cups to win. Finishing fourth would be a good accomplishment but we want to win the Premier League. We go into next season in a very strong position."

Sheikh Mansour has put in almost 350 million pounds to rebuild City's squad and watched their historic day at Wembley back home in Abu Dhabi. (ANI)
