GUIYANG, China (AP) — Deng Zhuxiang and Gao Lin scored within three minutes of each other to give China a 2-0 win over North Korea on Wednesday in an international friendly.
Deng gave the hosts the lead in the 37th minute with a hard shot from directly in front of goal. Just over two minutes later, striker Gao headed in a cross to double China's advantage before the 30,000-strong home crowd at the newly built Olympic Stadium in the southern city of Guiyang.
China dominated play throughout the match and North Korea rarely looked threatening.
