Latest from Sports - 'Hilarious' fans shouting for Tim Henman are not amusing: Murray

London, June 24(ANI): Andy Murray has replaced Tim Henman as Wimbledon's "Great British Hope", but for some descending on SW19 they just can't seem to let go of Henman who graced the All England Club for over a decade and reached four semi-finals.

The changing of the guard came in Murray's Wimbledon debut year in 2005 when he beat Radek Stepanek in the second round, hours after Henman had lost to Dmitry Tursunov.

After a string of failed attempts by Henman at last there was a new kid on the block.

Yet in almost every match Murray plays at SW19 there's a shout of "Come on Tim", The Sun reports.

Ahead of his third-round clash with Ivan Ljubicic today, Murray said: "We were talking about it before my first match and asking how long it would be before the first 'Come On Tim'. We were going to have a bet and everyone gave a minute when it would be said."

"I just said it would be inside the first game - and it came four minutes in. It is a classic that one. It is hilarious. It happens every match, three or four times. Seriously, though, I do not find it particularly amusing," he added. (ANI)
