MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Tulsa Shock center Liz Cambage says she'll miss the start of next year's WNBA season to join the Australian team in preparation for the London Olympics.
The 19-year-old Cambage said Tuesday she had rejected several offers from international clubs and would instead return to Australian club Bulleen Boomers at the end of the current WNBA season and remain there in the lead-up to the Olympics.
Cambage, who was this year's No. 2 pick in the WNBA draft, is the reigning Most Valuable Player in the Australian league.
