Trent Bridge (Nottingham, UK), July 28 (ANI): England fast bowler James Anderson has said that his team has to concentrate on the second Test after achieving success in the Lord's Test against India.
Interacting with the media ahead of the Trent Bridge Test, Anderson said he was happy with the England team's performance against India at Lord's , but now was the time to concentrate on the next test match.
"This game is different. You can't really rely on what had happened in the past. Now the hopes are on Friday, which is a different game completely. And we have got to prepare well completely and then hit the ground on Friday," he said.
England beat India by 196 runs at Lord's, which was also the 100th test match between the two nations.
Anderson also stated that it was unfortunate that India could not perform well in that match, but it was more important for his team to prepare for the upcoming match.
"First thing on India is that they probably did not play as well as they could. But at the end of the day we can't control how India plays. And we can just focus on what we do. They are a great side to play with and we have to prepare well to play some great cricket. We have to focus on what we do and try to do as best as we can," he said.
