More than 500 take part in ESIC meet
Union Minister of Labour & Employment, Mallikarjun Kharge, announced the closing of the 9th ESIC Central Sports Meet at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister hailed the theme of the event — Sparkling Sports with Service Spirit — given by Dr CS Kedar, IAS, Director General, Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC).
More than 500 sportspersons, including 100 women, in 27 contingents from various Medical & Administrative units of ESIC from all over the country participated in seven sporting disciplines organised over five days (February 6-10).
