BARCELONA, Spain--Though we've seen enough new smartphones from Mobile World Congress to last us a while (or at least until next month'sCTIA), we used the last day of the show to check out what ViewSonic and its trio of parrots had to offer.

The company that has brought us so many displays is making a further push into the mobile space after debuting its ViewPad 4 last month atCES. Though the ViewPad 4 blurred the distinction between phone andtablet, the company's new device in Barcelona is firmly in the smartphone camp.

The ViewSonic V350 runs Android 2.2 (Froyo) on a 3.5-inch touch screen. Features include a 600MHz processor, 512MB of memory, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, a 5-megapixel camera, a music player, Assisted-GPS, a 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth, messaging and e-mail, a personal organizer, and access to all the usual Android apps through the Android Market.

Yet, what's most exciting about the V350 is that it has two SIM card slots, which will let you use two phone numbers at one time. The world is in short supply of dual SIM card phones with higher-end features so we welcome the V350 readily. We don't know pricing or availability at this time, but we hope to see a sample handset soon.
