RIYADH: Saudi Arabia is currently working on a national strategy for youths in order to enable them to face the future with confidence, said Deputy Education Minister Faisal bin Muammar, who is an executive council member of UNESCO.
He said the strategy would include a number of programs aimed at enhancing the capabilities of youths to participate effectively in achieving sustainable development.
Muammar highlighted the Kingdom’s cooperation with the international education organization. “We established a program to promote cultural dialogue and world peace in association with UNESCO,” he said. The program is named after Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah.
Speaking about the Kingdom’s educational efforts, the minister said it organized an international forum and exhibition for higher education in Riyadh last month with the participation of international universities.
“We’ll present major recommendations of the Riyadh meeting at the UNESCO’s conference next week,” he said.
