A Boeing 777 passenger jet bound for the UK from Pakistan has been forced to land in Turkey following a bomb threat, Turkish state media say.
The Pakistan International Airlines plane landed at Ataturk International airport in Istanbul, aviation officials were quoted as saying.
The crew were reportedly made aware of the threat while flying over Bulgaria.
Flight PK709, carrying 378 people, was bound for Manchester from Lahore, reports said.
The crew called the control tower at Istanbul to request permission for an emergency landing.
Turkey's state-run Anatolia news agency said the plane was taken to a remote part of the airport, where it was quickly evacuated and passengers were bussed to the terminal.
Sniffer dogs were sent in to check for explosives.
Pakistan International Airways said it had so far found no suspicious items, following the screening of passengers and baggage.
However, a full search is continuing.
The airline said the flight would be able to continue its journey once that had been completed.
A Pakistan International Airlines spokesman told the Press Association that the bomb threat had been received by officials in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
