MAKKAH: The Prosecution and Investigations Commission (PIC) in Makkah has detained a Burmese expatriate in his 30s at the unified prison in Al-Aziziyah district in Makkah after he was caught showing blue films to a young Saudi girl in her 20s.
He has been kept in detention and will now be brought before the Shariah court. The florist’s indecent behavior took place when the girl came to his shop for a bouquet that she wanted to present to her hospitalized sister.
According to the PIC, the young girl stopped at the flower shop and asked the florist to prepare a bouquet. The florist asked her to sit in a chair while he prepared the bouquet.
He then brought his laptop out and kept it in front of her and started playing pornographic films.
The girl immediately left the shop but he followed her and gave her a bouquet along with a business card with a mobile number and a fake name. He also asked her to call him.
The girl reported him to the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice who came to the shop during Maghreb prayer time and found the Burmese inside the locked shop without bothering to go for prayer.
The Haia team discovered a number of porn clips and adult photographs in addition to four mobile phones carrying the names and telephone numbers of a number of girls. They also found business cards with false names.
The Burmese was arrested, taken to the Al-Aziziyah police station and from there to prison.
