Spurious liquor takes eight lives in UP

Bhadoi : Eight persons died and 15 others were taken ill after consuming spurious liquor at different places in the district today, a senior official said. 'Eighteen people were taken ill in Chauri police area after consuming spurious liquor. They were admitted to the hospital, where five died this morning,' District Magistrate Surendra Singh said here. Three persons died and two others were taken ill in a similar incident in Shivdaspur village adjoining Varanasi last evening, the DM said. He....
