    State seeks Central aid for drought relief

    Thiruvananthapuram : Kerala Revenue Minister K P Rajendran today said the government had sought Central assistance of Rs 164.67 crore for drought relief activities in the State. The total loss in agriculture sector due to drought was estimated at Rs five crore across the State, he said in a release here.The government had sought an assistance of Rs 115.69 crore from the Centre for implementing temporary drinking water projects and Rs 39 crore for distributing water through tanker lorries,....
