Central team in Munnaar to assess encroachment
Munnaar: The Central team is in Munnaar to examine whether there have been any encroachments done against the Forest Protection Act. The team is headed by Shubhakar Reddy under the Environment and Forest Ministry's Bangalore zone.
The team which will be in Munnaar for 4 days will accept grieveances from people and organisations. After holding discussions with officials of the Forest department the team will leave for Thiruvananthapuram. The delegation will also hold discussions with Forest minister Binoy Viswam and other officials concerned.
