Petition moved to protect Malayalee students
Bangalore: A petition was moved in the Kerala High Court to protect students who are going for education from Kerala to other states. The public interest litigation was filed in the wake of growing torture against Malayalee students. After hearing the petition the division bench comprising chief justice Chelameswar and justice C N Ramachandran Nair ordered to make Indian Nursing Council, the Medical Council and AICTE a party in the case. The petition, which sought the intervention of the Kerala government to protect students from the tortures of private agents and college managements, was filed by M K Thomas, president of the Association of Malayalee Students, Karnataka.
