Sheela murder: Police recovers jewels and mobile from Coimbatore
Palakkad:In the sensational Sheela murder case, the police recovered the mobile and jewellery including four bangles, one pair of ear rings and a ring, allegedly stolen from the residence of the entrepreneur, from Coimbatore. Earlier, the Palakkad Judicial First Class Magistrate (II) T G Varghese had sent the accused in the case Kanakarajan and Manikandan to police custody till 5 pm Tuesday . The investigation team collected evidence from the accused on Monday itself in Coimbatore. They will be brought to Sheela's house for further evidence collection on Tuesday. Sheela Jayakrishnan, wife of businessman Jayakrishnan, is the sister of K.N. Satheeshan, an IAS officer and Additional Director of Tourism, Government of Kerala. Her mother, Karthiyayani, had come on a visit two days before the incident. The two women were alone at home at the time of the attack at 12 noon on March 22. Jayakrishnan who reached home at 1.30 p.m. found his wife dead with stab wounds. Ms. Karthiyayani who sustained injuries was rushed to a private hospital in Coimbatore. Sheela was murdered with a sharp weapon by slitting her throat and her mother sustained injuries on her forehead.
