Low-intensity blasts outside Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore






Eight policemen were injured when a power generator exploded at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here Saturday, nearly 90 minutes before an Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians. There was panic near the second entrance gate as hundreds had gathered when the explosion took place.

An IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians was scheduled to be played at the stadium today. The match was to begin at 4 pm and the stadium is crowded. There is huge security at the stadium.
