LDF meet to discuss induction of Thomas group





Thiruvananthapuram: To decide on the induction of PC Thomas group, a breakaway faction of Kerala Congress (Joseph) in its fold, the LDF meet will be held here on Saturday at AKG centre. It is learnt that PC Thomas will not attend the meet which is being convened for the first time after P J Joseph left LDF. It is also learnt it is as per the direction of CPM that he is staying away from the meet but the secretariat has also asked to Thomas to stay in Thiruvananthapuram itself. Earlier RSP (Revolutionary Socialist Party) had opposed the LDF's decision to take over the P.C Thomas' group. Even though the party has not taken an final decision regarding this, the majority opinion opposes LDF's decision to take over Thomas group.

The CPM Polit Bureau is understood to have given its green signal to the state unit to induct the breakaway faction led by former MP P.C. Thomas in the LDF.
