Two women killed as parapet falls over them





Nadapuram: Two women were killed when the parapet of a house fell on them here on Sunday. Among the two, one was admitted in a serious condition to the Kozhikode Medial College. The incident took place during a marriage function of Valayam Grama Panchayath president PC Lakshmi's son. The deceased were Sarada, 55, wife of Babu from Narippatta and Sindhu, 35, wife of Raju from Kommatpoyil. Sarada's grandson Vipin Raj is in the hospital. The incident took pace at 6.30 pm on Sunday when the parapet made of bricks gave way in the heavy rain and fell over the people standing there. Saradha is survived by kids Anitha, Sunitha and Sunil, son-in-law Rajan and daughter in-law Neema. Sindhu is survived by kids Anamika and Sidharth.
