All-party meet on Kinaloor to be convened: VS
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief minister V S Achuthanandan said that an all-party meeting will be called to solve the issues in Kinaloor. The date of the meeting to be convened in Thiruvananthapuram will be decided later. He said this while briefing mediapersons during the cabinet meet. The CM said that problems will be solved with the cooperation of people there. A direction has been issued to the DGP to remove police intervention from there. The cabinet also decided to give rice for Rs 2 per kg to workers in the unorganized sector. Among the 70 lakh card holders, 35 lakh will get this benefit. A Special Anti-Theft squad will be formed to curb theft in religious places. The CM also said that to unify the energy conservation programmes, the cabinet has decided to constitute a committee headed by chief secretary as the president.
