Custody death: Suspension for 12 policemen
Palakkad: Twelve policemen, including two SIs, were given suspension, in the custodial death of Sambath, the prime accused in Puthoor Sheela murder case. The order was issued by Thrissur regional IG Muhammad Yasin. The order reached stations by Monday noon. Those who were in investigation team when the death occured include North SI PV Ramesh, South SI T N Unnikrishnan, ASI Ramachandran, police constables Johnson, Lobo, Madhavan, Shilan, Abdul Rasheed, Vijayan, Brijith, Pradeep Kumar, Byju, Shyam Prasad, were all suspended. Earlier, the crime branch submitted the accused list to the judicial first class magistrate court. The suspension was given as per the list .
